Salary Expectations Shouldn't Be the Only Factor When Choosing a Major
Picking a major based on post-graduation salary rankings seems sensible short-term, but it can cost you in the long run.

Salary rankings show average income right after graduation, but they say very little about a profession's ten-year career trajectory, job satisfaction, or supply-demand balance in the industry. Choosing a major based solely on these tables can push you toward a field that doesn't match your skills and interests.
When deciding, also look at industry employment trends, the courses you naturally excel at, and the university's internship/placement network for that program.
